About the Artist
Michelle Swenson is a mixed media and oil painter whose work speaks in bold color, strength, and soulful beauty. With a brush in one hand and unshakable faith in the other, she creates art that tells stories of resilience, whimsy, and grace. Art and design have always been her passion. As a child, when her family couldn’t afford coloring books, Michelle would create her own abstract designs on scraps of paper—anything with a patch of white space became her canvas. That early spark of creativity never left her; it grew into a lifelong love of color and visual storytelling.
As a former owner of a successful marketing agency, Michelle served her clients of Silicon Valley for over 20 years with visual storytelling. She brings her years of creative vision, depth, and narrative to every canvas.
Her transition into full-time artistry began with the unexpected loss of two of her three sons in the midst of her battle with cancer. While she is cancer free now, she became aware that life can be short and transitioned into a life pursuing her passion to paint and live with beauty. Rather than turning inward, she chose to paint her way forward, creating art that not only expresses her own healing, but becomes a vessel for others to heal, feel seen, and be inspired.
Her signature style blends layers of color, texture, and symbolic elements—whether painting beautiful women, free-spirited birds, or earth and creatures of the wild—each piece is an invitation to imagine, to hope, and to embrace the beauty of everyday life. Michelle is a graduate of the Milan Art Institute and pours her heart into every stroke with a mission to create meaningful art. She is a member of SOPA (Society of Professional Artists) and her work has been featured in local wineries and art shows in her hometown of Livermore, CA. Through her art, she offers a place to land for those walking through their own transformations and for her collectors who grace their walls with her paintings.
